Privacy Policy

Hi! I'm creating this site as an educational project to help you prepare for your driving license exam. Your privacy is important to me, so I limit data collection to the minimum necessary for the app to function correctly.
1. Data Controller

2. Purposes and Legal Basis
Your data is processed for:
- Enabling login: We use Google Auth so you don't have to create a new password.
- Saving progress: We store your test results and learning history so you can continue learning on different devices.
Legal basis: Your voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), expressed by the act of logging in to the service.
3. Scope of Data Collected
We collect only data provided by Google during login and data you generate during learning:
- From Google profile: Public user identifier (ID), email address, and name/nickname.
- Activity data: Learning progress, answers given, error statistics.
- Technical data: Session identifier stored in browser memory.
4. Where We Store Your Data (Data Recipients)
This site is a non-commercial project, and your data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. However, we use trusted technical service providers:
- Google Ireland Ltd: For user authentication (login).
- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (Azure): Your progress is stored in Azure Table Storage. Microsoft provides a high standard of data security.
5. Data Retention Period
Your data will be retained until:
- You withdraw your consent (request account deletion).
- I discontinue this educational project.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: Download all data held about you directly from the app — go to Settings and click "Download my data".
- Right to rectification: You can correct your data. Contact me at the email address in section 1.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app — go to Settings and click "Delete account". Note: data created while not logged in on other devices or browsers cannot be linked to your account and cannot be deleted this way.
- Right to data portability: Covered by the "Download my data" function — data is provided as a machine-readable JSON file.
- Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe I am processing your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, Poland).
For rights requiring contact (rectification, complaints), write to the email address in section 1. Note: Google Analytics data and your Google account data is held by Google and cannot be deleted by us — manage it at myaccount.google.com.
7. Information on Cookies
We use only technologies necessary for the application to function, and with your consent, analytics tools:
- Essential cookie: An encrypted HttpOnly cookie (
examiner.uid) stores a pseudonymous random identifier so your practice progress is preserved across page loads. This cookie is strictly necessary and is set before consent. - Technical cookies: Required by Google Auth for the secure login process.
- Google Analytics (with consent): If you accepted cookies during first launch, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) to analyse site traffic. Data is anonymised and used solely to improve the quality of the service. You can withdraw consent in Settings.
8. Security
Although this is a private project, I take care of your data security by using an encrypted connection (SSL) and professional Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
